Historical UNFC context: a DKZ-authored paper describes a 2021 state-balance population of about 9,200 deposits, with about 4,000 assessed or in use under the national UNFC-based system and about 5,200 still associated with earlier classifications. These are administrative figures—not 4,000 CRIRSCO reports.
